I have been carving family crest and coats of arms onto gold and stone for over 25 years. These are carved deeply and usually in reverse for sealing rings. To order please send an enquiry via my Photo Upload form.

Gemstones for family crest sealing rings

There are a number of different stones that can be carved with a crest. The image above shows the most popular stone choices.

Sold or single color stones such as Lapis-Lazuli, Bloodstone, Carnelian create a subtle carving that are best viewed in close up.

Layered agates also known as Sard-Onyx have layers of color. The design is carved through the top white layer to reveal the darker layer beneath. This displays the crest clearly due to the color contrast.
