Video on carving a Gemstone Scarab

Here is a video on Gem Carving from the Getty Museum. The gem carver takes a Carnelian Agate and carves it into a Scarab with an intaglio on the base of the stone.

This is a replica of an Ancient Greek carving. This video gives a good idea of the process of gem carving. My techniques are a bit more advanced than shown here.
